This marked Keith’s first set of performances following his cancer announcement, where he disclosed undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. In a recent health update to The Oklahoman, the “I Love This Bar” singer mentioned feeling optimistic about his health, citing improved blood test results and a one-third reduction in his tumor size. Despite ongoing chemotherapy, Keith expressed a desire to return to touring by year-end, pending his ability to maintain strength.
Acknowledging the uncertainty of cancer, Keith outlined plans to gradually test his endurance by performing with his band for a few days. He emphasized the importance of balancing work with ongoing treatment, underscoring a cautious approach to his comeback.
Reflecting on his journey, Keith shared that increased stamina and positive health indicators fueled his determination to return to the stage, showcasing resilience and optimism in the face of health challenges.
